She took the time to truly understand and our desires for the birth, and helped us create a birth plan that aligned with our wishes. Her wealth of experience and calming presence gave us the confidence and reassurance we needed to embrace the natural process of childbirth.

During the labor and delivery, Ashley was an absolute angel! She intuitively anticipated our needs and provided comfort measures that helped ease the intensity of labor. Her gentle touch, soothing voice, and encouraging words helped my wife stay focused and empowered throughout the entire process. She also tirelessly supported us after the birth of our son.

Although I had a pretty average hospital birth, Ashley helped make it feel special and transformational. Not only did she respect and advocate for our choices, but she went above and beyond to validate me every step of the way. I am so thankful I found Ashley. She is someone I would consider a Super Doula! My labor was roughly 38+ hours long but Ashley stayed by myside the entire time. With barely any sleep, she managed to help me get through my anxiety, stress and pain. I have no clue how she was able to keep herself well composed after not having any sleep, but she is definitely a super Doula! I love how I was able to focus on her voice as she coached me on how to push for nearly two hours long. Having her presence in the hospital and at home immensely helped me get through the contractions. She's taught me a lot about breathing through the waves of contractions, showing me different positions for birthing, and getting information on what's happening during the labor process. I also really liked how she took notes. I'm so glad she documented everything because for me, it's nice to have something to look back on and remember everything I went through and remind myself, "wow, that was such a beautiful journey to motherhood." Thank you Ashley for being there for me!

Looking back at our birth and the months leading up to it, my husband and I keep bringing up how we couldn’t have imagined going through this journey without the support of our doula, Ashley. Hiring a doula initially wasn’t something we were sure we needed, as we were expecting a hospital birth with no complications. At our first meeting, Ashley helped us understand how many ways she could support us, from discussions about the birthing process and breastfeeding to answering our questions about our birth plan options, local hospital practices, and giving us various pre/post natal resources and contacts. Before and during early labor, Ashley supported us though the night via text and phone until it was time to join us. I ended up needing so many interventions and Ashley advocated for me every step of the way, making sure my husband and I understood every part of the process. Having her by my husbands side as they massaged, coached, and guided me through til the end meant everything to me, and gave us so much more confidence throughout. She powered through more than 27 hours with us til baby was born, and even reached out 2 hours after that to check in again. Having her by our side felt like one of the best decisions we have ever made. We also opted to take advantage of Ashley’s food services. Her incredible teas and soups have been so nourishing and convenient during these first days postpartum. We’ve connected so much with Ashley that we are planning to use her for extra postpartum support at home once my husband starts to go back to work.
Ashley is so kind, capable, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. I would recommend her to anyone looking for this type of doula through their birthing journey!

We can’t recommend Ashley Murphy enough! Having her support before, during, and after the birth of our first child was one of the best decisions we could have made. She has a huge heart and helped both my husband and I feel prepared and confident as first time parents. ​Ashley stepped in when our doula couldn't make it to our induction. She walked in when I was already in a lot of pain and immediately helped my husband and I figure out where I was in my labor and what I needed. She was a great advocate for me throughout and worked hard to get answers from a nurse who wasn't always forthcoming. She had a bag full of tricks that helped through labor and supported me in my choice to get an epidural. I was very grateful Ashley was able to step in and help us deliver our first child!

Ashley was incredible! She had to fill in last minute for our doula who couldn’t come right away, but Ashley treated us as her own clients. She has such a calming, kind presence and treated us with such amazing care. She made the room a peaceful environment and coached me through my most painful contractions. We are so grateful for her. Working with Ashley as our birth doula was an amazing experience! She was a wonderful addition to such a sacred and special tribe of women surrounding and supporting me through the birth of our third child. Her warm and gentle presence was so comforting. She was very in tune with my needs and knew just when to give me a sweet uplifting affirmation or a gentle touch.
Our other two young children were with us for the birth as well and Ashley was such a huge help with them, providing them with snacks and entertainment! My husband and I had planned on my mom and sister to be there to help look after the kids but my labor progressed so quickly that they weren’t able to make it in time. Having Ashley not only be an incredible support for me during labor but also be so helpful with our children and guide them to be apart of the birth, made it so I could remain in a peaceful state of mind and made it so my husband was able to stay by my side.
I felt so safe and held by Ashley and the midwives caring for me, my husband and my children during such a sacred time. She also gifted me an array of homemade products to use during and after labor that were all so lovely. The birth of our third child was truly my most beautiful and euphoric birthing experience and I am so incredibly grateful that Ashley was apart of it.
